Tar Heels make cut for 4-star DB

Four-star DB Kaleb Cost dishes on UNC commitment

Mack Brown and the UNC football program took a step forward in the recruitment for a four-star defensive back this week.

Florida native Tavoy Feagin cut his list of 47 offers down to just his top 10 schools, making an important update to his recruitment. The defensive back announced that he will now focus on UNC, Miami, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Clemson, Florida State, and Oklahoma in his recruitment.

The 6-foot, 170-pound prospect is ranked as a top 50 overall player and the No. 4 safety in the 2024 recruiting class by 247Sports. He’s a prized recruit that has drawn interest from some of the top programs as you can see by his list.

For UNC, it’s great news that they have made his Top 10 after cutting down the list. However, there’s a lot of work to do and it’s against some tough competition.

Feagin’s list has some elite programs on his list including SEC powers Alabama and Georgia, as well as in-state programs like Miami, Florida and Florida State.
