Tyanthony Smith is a 6-foot-1, 200-pound linebacker from Jasper, Texas, where he plays for Jasper High School. The Bulldogs finished last season 6-5 with a second-round playoff loss to West Orange-Stark. Smith came to LSU’s football camp on June 16 and impressed the coaches enough to earn him a scholarship offer.
Film Analysis: Smith does a great job diagnosing plays at the line of scrimmage pre-snap. He goes against multiple offensive sets and somehow is able to find out where the play is going to go and he sticks his head in there and makes the play just about every time.
