Twitter reacts to Gronk’s retirement

For the second time in three years, Rob Gronkowski is hanging up his cleats.

Gronk announced his retirement Tuesday afternoon after two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, having added onto what was already a first-ballot Hall of Fame career.

The second-round pick out of Arizona spent the first nine seasons of his career with the New England Patriots, winning three Super Bowls while setting numerous records with Tom Brady as his quarterback.

Gronkowski’s first retirement lasted just one season, as Brady lured him back to the gridiron after the GOAT signed with the Bucs in free agency in March of 2020. The pair immediately helped lead Tampa Bay to a Super Bowl win in their first season together, as well as an NFC South title in 2021.
