OG Anthony Bradford’s 2022 player profile

OG Anthony Bradford’s 2022 player profile

Going into the 2022 football season, LSU Wire will be looking at each player listed on the Tigers’ roster.

Over the preseason, each profile will cover where the player is from, how recruiting websites rated them coming out of high school, and what role they will play for Brian Kelly this season.

This team doesn’t have many veterans along the offensive line, but Anthony Bradford is one of them. Originally from Michigan, the junior split his time with Cameron Wire at left tackle last fall before an injury ended his campaign, but he may be set to slide inside in 2022 as he faces stiff competition for playing time.

Depth Chart Overview

Bradford sat just outside the 247Sports Composite’s top 200 coming out of high school in 2019. He was a longtime LSU commit before signing, and he would appear in three games during his true freshman season, in which he redshirted.

He boosted that to seven appearances the following year during a pandemic-shortened 2020 season, though most of it came on special teams. However, he had a big start to the year in 2021.

Bradford started five of the first six games at left tackle before an injury ended his season in a disappointing fashion. He’s had the entire offseason to recover, but retaking a starting role will be easier said than done.

Wire will likely start at one of the tackle spots, and Will Campbell may win the starting job on the opposite side. If he moves inside to his natural guard position, he’ll still have to beat out players like Miles Frazier and Garrett Dellinger to start in the spot opposite
