Penn State in driver’s seat for four-star LB in Class of 2023

Penn State has a strong history of linebackers over the years, and the Nittany Lions are looking to add a dynamic linebacker duo to the fold in the Class of 2023. This summer will see a pair of linebacker announcements that could bode very ell for the Nittany Lions. While no date is set for an official announcement from Ta’Mere Robinson, the decision date for Tony Rojas has been confirmed for July 5. Penn State could be in the driver’s seat for the four-star linebacker.

Rojas will be announcing his college decision on July 5 and Penn State is currently the favorite to land the commitment according to the 247Sports crystal ball and the On3 prediction machine. But the competition is fierce for the Virginia recruit. Rojas will be deciding between Penn State, Georgia, Clemson and Miami. Rojas made official visits to Clemson in early June and Penn State in mid-June, and an official visit to Georgia was scheduled for June 24. However, Rojas announced he will not be making an official visit to Miami.

Penn State’s Class of 2023 is already stacking up to be among the best in the nation. Adding Rojas to the mix would continue that trend. And the possibility of adding Rojas and Robinson to the linebacker position in 2023? Well, that would just be the icing on the cake.

Here is a snapshot recruiting profile of one of Penn State’s top defensive targets in the Class of 2023 as his decision date approaches.
