As a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Clemson has played hundreds of games against the same teams repeatedly. While those in-conference matchups create rivalries and a sense of familiarity, games with non-conference opponents create opportunities for historical matchups.
Most recently, Clemson played Georgia in week one of the 2022 season, a game that helped propel the Bulldogs to an eventual College Football Playoff National Championship.
Clemson has played numerous non-ACC powerhouses in the past decade, including Notre Dame, Oklahoma, LSU, Alabama and Texas A&M. Of course, the annual Clemson vs. South Carolina rivalry game is also consistently featured as one of the Tigers’ non-conference games.
There is certainly a chance that the current landscape and layout of scheduling changes, but as for the next 16 seasons, here is every non-ACC opponent Clemson currently has on its schedule.
