Five players the Browns should look at from Fan Controlled Football

Fan Controlled Football is like the Arena Football League on steroids and the indoor football league has a few stars like Johnny Manziel, Terrell Owens and Terrence Williams, but they have yet to have someone make a name in the NFL after making an impact in the FCF. The league has now completed its second season and my money is on a few of these players earning NFL checks.

The front office in Cleveland does a great job of turning over every stone for possible play-makers and they churn the bottom of their roster more often and effectively than most NFL teams. A few of these prospects would be worth a deeper look.

 

Rusty Becker, DE

Rusty Becker went a little under the radar during his time at Cal, but he dominated this past season in the FCF with three sacks, 22 tackles and six total tackles for loss. Standing at 6’5″ and 280 pounds Becker dominates with his bull rush and maintains positive leverage throughout. At only 25 years old, Becker has room to grow and can develop into a decent role player.

Dakavian Champion, DT

Dakavian Champion went under the radar while at Southern, but he has developed into a strong player in the FCF. Despite the field being much smaller in the FCF, Champion has a great motor and is a high-effort player on the interior. Champion stands at 6’0″ and 295 pounds, but is only 24 years old and is worth a kick on the tires. He finished the season with 13 total tackles and five sacks.

Julian Charles, S

Julian Charles spent his college days at Mississippi College, but he really shined that past season in the FCF with 26 tackles and an interception. Most people have probably seen the highlight of him getting beat by Terrell Owens, but most people don’t realize that Charles shut Owens out completely…
