RHP Christian Little commits via transfer portal

Christian Little, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound right-handed pitcher from Vanderbilt has committed to play for LSU next season.

Originally from St. Louis, Little was the top overall prospect in Missouri and a top-five right-handed pitcher nationally coming out of high school when he committed to the Commodores.

He finished his career at Vandy going 4-4 with a 4.65 ERA in 32 games and 81 innings pitched. In the two seasons he played for the Commodores, he had 95 strikeouts with 39 walks and three saves.

Little comes to a Tigers team that was in need of solid pitching, as that seemed to be the biggest issue with last year’s team. He can be a starter or a reliever for LSU, and he started in 14 of the 32 games he played for the Commodores.

The Tigers have seen some transfer portal losses so far this offseason, but they’ve also made some intriguing gains. Little is the latest, and he could play a huge part in next spring’s rotation.
