Philadelphia Eagles offensive stock is up after offseason additions

The Eagles are roaring towards the team’s second training camp under head coach, Nick Sirianni.

As Philadelphia sits less than a month out from reporting, we’re interested in taking an early stock appraisal of the Eagles’ offensive roster and how things changed.

There’s been no change at quarterback, while the receiving corps is a lot faster and explosive after some draft day wheeling and dealing.

Let’s take a position-by-position stock report of Philadelphia’s explosive offense.

Quarterback

Jalen Hurts is the unquestioned starter heading into 2022 and his stock is way up after the addition of wide receiver A.J. Brown.

Hurts is also benefiting from having the same offensive coaches on the staff for the first time since high school.

Gardner Minshew returns as the backup quarterback, while Carson Strong is an undrafted rookie to watch.

Stock Up

Running Back

Philadelphia led the NFL in rushing last season and their top three players at the position all return with Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, and second-year dual threat, Kenneth Gainwell.

The Eagles use a committee approach to the position, but the offense will blossom if Sanders can finally develop into a reliable workhorse, or he’ll cede carries to Kenneth Gainwell.

Former Oklahoma running back Kennedy Brooks signed on as an undrafted free agent and could fill Jordan Howard’s role as the power back.

Stock is EVEN

The stock would have been up anyway with the addition of Zach Pascal, coupled with the improvement seen this offseason from Quez Watkins and DeVonta Smith.

The stock rose dramatically after Howie Roseman acquired A.J. Brown from the Titans for draft picks. Brown gives the Eagles instant star power and physicality at the position, and his arrival will help Smith, Watkins and Dallas Goedert flourish…
