Rankings the quarterbacks on the 2022 schedule

The then-Washington Football Team won the NFC East in 2020 with a 7-9 record. Hopes were high for Washington in 2021, but the team’s defense underachieved, and the offense battled injuries before finishing 7-10.

A big reason for Washington’s struggles in 2021 was its competition. The team faced many of the NFL’s top quarterbacks last season, such as Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, Justin Herbert, Josh Allen, and Russell Wilson. Other top quarterbacks like Derek Carr, Matt Ryan and Dak Prescott (twice) were also on Washington’s schedule.

As we look ahead to 2022, the Commanders’ schedule doesn’t appear nearly as daunting. Of the above quarterbacks, only three (four counting Prescott twice) are on the 2022 slate.

Who are the top opposing quarterbacks on Washington’s 2022 schedule? We rank each of the projected 14 starting quarterbacks the Commanders will face next season.

Trey Lance didn’t play a lot as a rookie last season. With his talent and playing for Kyle Shanahan, he has the potential to be much higher on this list.

Daniel Jones gets one more season to prove he’s the guy. While he’s mostly struggled, he’s been good against Washington.
