Meet USC 2024 offensive line target DeAndre Carter

USC shouldn’t be worried about California high school football trends

DeAndre Carter of Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) is a 6-5, 335-pound offensive lineman from the 2024 recruiting class who is looking to earn a fifth star this season.

Carter landed a spot on 247Sports’ All-Combine Team at the 2022 All-American National Combine as a sophomore. In 2021 Carter started at left tackle for Mater Dei, which finished undefeated as the MaxPreps No. 1 team in the country.

Carter is projected to move to interior offensive lineman with his large frame and strength. I expect Carter to be a main target for the USC Trojans.

The junior lineman is ranked 130th nationally in his class and 14th overall in the state of California.

“I’m looking for a school and a coaching staff that can make me better,” noted Carter. “The education is important and I’d like to be a part of winning program. I want to play for coaches that can get me right for the next level. These are the things I am looking for in a school.”

Carter has offers from power five schools: Oklahoma, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida State, Oregon, USC, and many more to come.
