Three Tigers fall inside top 25 in latest 2023 mock draft

The 2022 college football season is under two months away, which means many Clemson players will have a chance to raise their stock ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.

While there will be a great deal of change between now and next April, scouts and analysts have begun to assemble their big boards.

Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine recently released a 2023 NFL mock draft, with the draft order determined based on odds for this upcoming season.

In the mock draft, Ballentine has NFL teams selecting three Tigers in the first round, with two of them falling to two of the most historical franchises in sports.

Here are those three players, where Ballentine has them landing and the justification for the pick.

Bryan Bresee, Defensive tackle

2021 stats: 13 total tackles (three for loss), 1.5 sacks (four games)

Ballentine’s prediction: No. 10 to the Pittsburgh Steelers

If Bryan Bresee falls all the way to them, the Steelers should rush his card up to the podium.

The 6’5″, 300-pound defensive lineman has been a versatile weapon in Clemson’s defensive scheme. He’s lined up everywhere from head-up on the center to the inside shoulder of the tackle.

The former No. 1 recruit put up good numbers as a freshman, registering four sacks. However, a limited him to four games in 2021.

Bresee needs to continue to show development as a pass-rusher to maximize his draft stock. But the talent is clearly there for him to emerge as a top-10 pick.

Myles Murphy, Defensive end
