The preseason hype surrounding Texas A&M as they inch closer and closer to the 2022 season opener is of no surprise, however, this season has the makings to be one of the more memorable in program history as Jimbo Fisher and Co. are attempting to make their first college football playoff appearance.
Recently, Phil Steele, one of the most respected football writers in the country, released his list of the toughest schedules in college football for the 2022 season, ranking 25 teams that are deemed to have a rough go of it throughout most of their schedule.
Here at Aggies Wire, we have assessed the roster and depth at the position groups, and have begun weaving our way through the schedule for the 2022 season, which at first glance is going to be very challenging for the Aggies right out of the gate.
The first two weeks of the non-conference schedule begin on September 3rd against Sam Houston State, one of the more competitive FCS programs in the country, while on September 10th, Appalachian State visits Kyle Field after a 10-2 2021 season. In week three, Quarterback Tyler Van Dyke and the Miami Hurricanes come to town a week before their annual showdown in AT&T Stadium against the always tough Arkansas Razorbacks.
