Clemson Tigers Snapshot Profile: No. 80 Beaux Collins

For this profile, we will take a closer look at wide receiver Beaux Collins.

As a freshman in 2021, Collins began to burst onto the scene in the latter half of the season and filled in nicely when multiple receivers went down with injuries.

Often playing in the slot, he finished second in receptions and third in receiving yards for Clemson with 31 and 407, respectively.

Now entering his sophomore year, he has a chance to develop into an even more consistent and versatile offense threat.

With that being said, here’s a snapshot look at Collins.

Roster outlook

While Collins played an abundance of snaps in the slot last year, he could become more of a perimeter threat opposite Joseph Ngata in 2022.

Wide receivers coach Tyler Grisham said on Tuesday that Collins will play everywhere, and since there are more options heading into the 2022 season, the staff won’t have to put him in the slot as often.

Clemson’s receiving room in 2022 is a mixed bag of players with different skillsets. E.J. Williams, Antonio Williams, Adam Randall and Dacari Collins could all burst onto the scene as well this year, but if Beaux Collins’ freshman campaign proved anything, it was that he is capable of making plays regardless of where he is on the field.
