A look at the top 10 recruiting in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

Five-star linebacker Anthony Hill announces top two schools

Texas is turning Dallas burnt orange this recruiting cycle and Chris Gilbert has been a huge part of it.

On the Everyone Gets A Trophy Podcast, Paul Wadlington and Gerry Hamilton discussed the Longhorns’ recruiting surge in the metroplex and Gilbert’s role in the strong haul.

For those who do not know, Chris Gilbert is the director of high school relations in Texas. No doubt his connection to the Dallas area is paying dividends.

So far this cycle, Steve Sarkisian has had more success in north Texas than either of his predecessors. And with Texas A&M’s strong presence in Houston in 2022, DFW has become a second home for the Longhorns.

With many of the state’s top players in the area, here are the top 10 players in the Dallas area in the 247Sports composite.
