Andrew Booth Jr. signs rookie contract with Vikings

Former Clemson cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. just got paid.

Drafted in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Booth and the Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms on a contract, the Vikings announced on Sunday.

The four-year deal is worth $8.31 million with a $3.22 million signing bonus, according to St. Paul Pioneer Press’ Chris Tomasson.

Booth had 37 total tackles, three interceptions and five passes defended in 11 games with Clemson last season, earning First-Team All-ACC honors.

While he was one of the country’s best cornerbacks in 2021, injury concerns caused him to slip outside of the first round in the draft.

He underwent surgery in March to repair a sports hernia injury sustained in college and has said that he hasn’t been truly healthy since high school.

Now at Vikings training camp, however, Booth will have the chance to finally showcase his skills ahead of the 2022 NFL season.
