EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Former Giants safety Andrew Adams was among four players signed by the team today as the veterans reported for the start of training camp.
The Giants also added wide receiver Marcus Kemp, offensive tackle Kamaal Seymour and defensive end Nick Williams.
To create roster space for the newcomers, they waived defensive back Henry Black, defensive tackle Jabari Ellis and wide receiver Travis Toivonen. The Giants also terminated the contract of defensive back Maurice Canady.
Adams, 28, is a 5-11, 202-pounder entering his seventh NFL season. He played his first two years with the Giants, followed by four with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Adams also did brief stints with the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles.

The Giants waived Adams on Sept. 1, 2018. Three weeks later, he signed with the Bucs. In Tampa, he played in 57 regular-season games with 18 starts and in five postseason games, including the Buccaneers’ victory against Kansas City in Super Bowl LV.
In 87 career games with 35 starts, Adams has recorded 175 tackles (141 solo), seven interceptions and 23 passes defensed.
Last season, Adams played in 14 regular-season games with three starts and finished with 21 tackles (14 solo), one interception and four passes defensed. He also played in the Bucs’ two postseason games.
