5 things to watch Wednesday

Day one is in the books for the annual Big Ten football media days, but it was without any appearance from Ohio State. In other words, the only things interesting were some comments Michigan’s head coach Jim Harbaugh and players made about Ohio State, and the very honest and telling things Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren had to say.

Day two should be more interesting being that you are probably more interested in Ohio State news. After all, you are on this free Buckeye homer site, so we’re pretty sure things with a scarlet and gray hue are a little more interesting to you.

There are some cataclysmic things happening with college football these days, so there are plenty of things to watch. Add that to the usual things we seem to be on the lookout for, and we thought we’d bring you five things to watch as OSU takes its turn in Indianapolis at the 2022 Big Ten media days.

What will Ryan Day say about Michigan?

Why the interest

To say that it’s been a very long offseason for Ryan Day and the Ohio State football team would be an understatement. The Rose Bowl magic made things a little more palatable, but the loss to Michigan still stings to this day, especially when it’s the first offseason since 2011 that any OSU head coach has had to deal with a loss to the maize and blue.

There have been some very brash and sideswiping comments made since by not only Jim Harbaugh, but some of the players after the Wolverines’ big day last season, so it’ll be interesting to see what Day has to say about the rivalry and where things are. Don’t look for him to go rogue and provide bulletin board material, but I’ll bet we get an idea of how focused and intent on getting another streak going…
