Allen Tabbed for Hornung Award Watch List

     The Louisville Sports Commission announced on Thursday that Kazmeir Allen has been named to the preseason watch list for the 2022 Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse. The award is handed out annually to the nation’s most versatile college football player.
 
      Allen saw action last season as a running back, wide receiver and kick returner for the Bruins. He finished first in the Pac-12 and 10th nationally with a kickoff return average of 29.1 yards per return. Allen also caught 17 passes on the season for 255 yards (15.0 yards per catch) and four touchdowns. He made eight rushing attempts for 93 yards (11.6 yards per rush) on the season and produced another score. In the win at USC, Allen had seven touches on the day good for 278 all-purpose yards and three scores — 100-yard kickoff return, 58-yard pass play, 45-yard pass play.
 
     The Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse is given annually by the Louisville Sports Commission. The winner of the award and his family will be honored at a banquet in downtown Louisville, Ky.
