The Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered a massive blow to their 2022 season on just the second day of training camp, when Pro Bowl center Ryan Jensen went down with a knee injury, and had to be carted off the field.
Speaking to the media after Monday’s practice, Bucs quarterback Tom Brady admitted that the team is heartbroken for Jensen, but also reinforced the “next man up” mentality of the NFL with a vote of confidence for replacement Robert Hainsey (via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times).
Losing Jensen for any significant stretch of time will be a tough task for the Bucs to navigate, but it looks like Tampa Bay is confident enough in Hainsey to give him a chance before looking for any outside help.
