There have been several different programs that have reached the College Football Playoff. Since 2015, Alabama has led the way with eight playoff appearances, Clemson comes in second with six playoff appearances and Ohio State in third place with five. The three aforementioned programs have all managed to win at least one College Football Playoff national title.
There are just two other teams to have also won the College Football playoff: LSU and Georgia. Other programs like Oregon, Washington, Michigan, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Cincinnati have all made appearances in the playoffs but haven’t won yet.
Today, Roll Tide Wire will make five predictions for potential College Football Playoff scenarios for the upcoming 2022 season.

Alabama has a difficult schedule in comparison to recent seasons. The Crimson Tide, however, always seem to handle their own. With Coach Saban expected to have one of his best teams ever, I don’t expect the Crimson Tide to miss the College Football Playoff this year but it is possible. Ohio State is an interesting program from the Big Ten. A season ago, the Buckeyes fell at the end of the season to Michigan which gave them two losses on the season. The Buckeyes are bringing back several key players and certainly have a favorable schedule outside of Oklahoma and Michigan. The Georgia Bulldogs are coming off the best season in program history. With a fairly easy schedule, Georgia should be back in the playoff. However, the Bulldogs will have one slip up to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship Game. The last team that I have making it in this scenario is Clemson. In relation to recent years, Coach Swinney and the Tigers had a disappointing season a year ago.
