What Nick Saban said following Wednesday’s practice

Good Thursday morning, Tide fans! Welcome back to another installment of Alabama Morning Drive. Time to get excited for the weekend as we are just one day away!

Such as the routine, Alabama head coach Nick Saban spoke to members of the media following the Tide’s practice on Wednesday. The seven-time national championship-winning head coach delivered both some positive and some unfortunate news.

In today’s edition of Alabama Morning Drive, we will take a look at a few of the news and notes that coach Saban expressed as we are now just a couple of days away from Alabama’s first scrimmage of the fall.

WR JoJo Earle out 6-8 weeks with a foot injury

“The only injury that we have is JoJo (Earle) got a Jones fracture in his foot in practice a couple days ago. Those things are probably 6-8 weeks, so we’ll just have to see how it goes. But hopefully, maybe by Oct. 1 or something like that, he’ll be close to being ready to come back. But he was doing a really, really good job, having a really good camp. Probably the best he’s been on a consistent basis. Just saw a guy that grew up and was playing with a lot of confidence. We’ll miss him for a while, but we want him to get well and I’m sure he’ll contribute to the team at some point in time this year.”
