Texas WR Agiye Hall suspended after arrest on criminal mischief charge

Texas receiver Agiye Hall was suspended indefinitely Friday by coach Steve Sarkisian in the wake of the player’s arrest on a criminal mischief charge.

According to Travis County records, Hall was arrested just after 9 p.m. Thursday by UT police and charged with a Class B misdemeanor. The police report obtained by the American-Statesman said Hall did $600 worth of damage to a “vehicle boot.”

Class B misdemeanor charges result from damage totaling $100 to $750 in value. An attorney representing Hall declined to comment.

“We’re aware of the situation involving Agiye Hall, have talked with his family, and have suspended him indefinitely from all team activities for conduct that is detrimental to our program,” Sarkisian said in a statement issued Friday.

Hall was a four-star recruit and had four catches for 72 yards as a freshman. He appeared in only three games with the Crimson Tide.

Sarkisian was asked about Hall on Aug. 3 and said, “I think he’s progressing.
