The Kansas City Chiefs will make a December trip to Denver to take on the Broncos in Week 14 on “Sunday Night Football”.
Denver fired coach Vic Fangio after he went 19-30 in three seasons with the team. Now, they’ll turn to Nathaniel Hackett, a longtime NFL offensive coordinator who was most recently with the Green Bay Packers. Hackett will try to record the first winning season in Denver since 2016.
Since Peyton Manning retired in 2015 the Broncos have started 11 different quarterbacks. They finally ended the quarterback carousel and made one of the biggest moves of the offseason, trading for Russell Wilson. The move cost Denver a pretty penny, surrendering a 2022 first, second and fifth-round pick as well as a 2023 first and second-round pick.
It also cost them a few active players in tight end Noah Fant, defensive end Shelby Harris and quarterback Drew Lock. Then, the Broncos made a big splash on the defensive side of the ball by signing defensive end Randy Gregory to a five-year, $70 million contract. They would continue to beef up their pass rush by selecting outside linebacker Nik Bonitto with their first draft pick.

There could be reasons to be a detractor of Wilson, though. He’s coming off one of the worst seasons of his career statistically, posting his second-lowest passing yards per game average and his third-lowest passing touchdowns total. Wilson also recorded by far the least number of rushing yards of his career in 2021 with just 183.

Williams is a power-back who is tough to take down and wears out a defense throughout the game. He is also a sneaky good receiver, having caught 43 passes last season. He rushed for 903 yards and four touchdowns while evenly splitting carries (203) with Melvin Gordon.
In 2022 Williams is expected to move into more of a featured role and lead the team in carries. In his lone start of 2021, which came against the Chiefs, Williams racked up 178 scrimmage yards and a…
