After a grueling cut down to the 53-man roster, the next important thing on the itinerary for the New England Patriots is building a practice squad.
On Wednesday, teams had the opportunity to put in claims for eligible players on waivers to be stashed as practice participants. There are likely key players the Patriots would love to have back on their roster.
However, they are sitting at No. 21 on the waiver wire, which means 20 other teams ahead of them had opportunities for their claims to be acknowledged first. By the end of the day, we’ll have an idea of what the Patriots roster looks like in its entirety.
Along with keeping track of who made it on the Patriots’ 2022 practice squad, we’ll also be keeping up with the destinations of some of the training camp and preseason favorites that got cut on Tuesday.
