According to Pro Football Focus, Terry Roberts was one of the best players on the field for Iowa. In fact, he was the second-highest graded defensive player for the Hawkeyes against South Dakota State.
The 5-foot-10, 182 pound defensive back from Erie, Pa., earned an overall defensive grade of 85.5 with a coverage grade of 85.8 against the Jackrabbits after registering four tackles and a pair of pass breakups.
Of course, Iowa managed to top South Dakota State 7-3 in the Hawkeyes’ first game of 2022. Afterwards, Roberts met with the media to discuss Iowa’s victory.

“It’s kind of hard to explain. Since dealing with the injuries last year, it’s been a long road, but, obviously, it felt great being out there with my brothers and just competing, having fun,” Roberts said.

“It’s the best stadium in college football right now. Best atmosphere hands down, best fans, everything. Can’t ask for anything better than Kinnick,” Roberts said.

“No, never, but defense stepped up. You know, we put a couple fires out. D-line got pressure, back end, we stayed over the top. We made plays, but we’ve still got a lot more work to do,” Roberts said.
