STARKVILLE – For the second week in a row, Mississippi State center LaQuinston Sharp was selected as the Southeastern Conference Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week.

Sharp started his 24th career game and logged 78 snaps – the most of any center in the conference – in the Bulldogs’ 39-17 victory at Arizona. The 6-foot-3, 310-pounder received an 86.2 pass blocking grade by Pro Football Focus (PFF) – the second-highest mark in the SEC last week – and did not allow a single quarterback pressure.

Sharp also paved the way up the middle for 59 of MSU’s 106 rushing yards, including five runs that moved the chains for first downs. The Bulldogs finished the night with 426 yards total averaging 5.8 yards per play.

It is the third time the Columbus native has been named as the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week in his career. He shared this week’s honor with Arkansas center Ricky Stromberg.
