OXFORD, Miss. – Here at OleMissSports.com, we are proud to update Rebel fans on the status of our former players who lace up their cleats on Sundays in the NFL. The Ole Miss football program continues to shine in the professional league with 29 former Rebels on NFL rosters (practice squads included), including star wideouts A.J. Brown, D.K. Metcalf and Elijah Moore.
Overall, 20 of them played in the opening week of the 2022 regular season. Here’s a rundown of how each NFL Rebel performed:
#34 Brandon Bolden | RB | Las Vegas Raiders
Completed a deep-left 18-yard pass to result in a touchdown for the Raiders and tallied a total of 21 receiving yards and seven rushing yards.
#11 A.J. Brown | WR | Philadelphia Eagles
Caught 10 passes for 155 yards in his Eagle debut. Brown recorded the longest play of the game, hauling in a deep ball for a gain of 54 yards.

#24 Snoop Conner | RB | Jacksonville Jaguars
Was listed as inactive in the Week 1 matchup with Washington.
#17 Evan Engram | TE | Jacksonville Jaguars
Hauled in 4 passes for 28 yards.
#38 Myles Hartsfield | DB | Carolina Panthers
Broke up one pass and completed two tackles against the Browns.
#98 Marquis Haynes | DE | Carolina Panthers
Tallied three total tackles, including one for a loss of two yards against Cleveland.
#21 Mike Hilton | CB | Cincinnati Bengals
Led the Bengals in tackles with eight solo tackles and one quarterback hit.
#94 Benito Jones | DT | Detroit Lions
Appeared on 16 defensive snaps.
#97 D.J. Jones | DT | Denver Broncos
Started at defensive tackle in his Broncos debut, tallying four total tackles in the loss.
#31 Jaylon Jones | CB | Chicago Bears
Competed in 43 defensive snaps.
#88 Dawson Knox | TE | Buffalo Bills
Caught one pass for five yards in the 31-10 Thursday night win to the Rams.
#33 Deane Leonard | CB | Los Angeles Chargers
Appeared on 15 snaps on special teams.
#75 Greg Little | OT | Miami Dolphins
Lined up 45 out of 60 offensive snaps to lead the Dolphins to a 20-7 victory over the Patriots.
#14 D.K. Metcalf | WR | Seattle Seahawks
Caught all seven targets for a total of 36 yards in the Seahawks’ 17-16 win over the Broncos on Monday Night Football.
