Penn State heads to Auburn this week to take on the Tigers. Taylor Jones from the Auburn Wire took a trip down enemy lane to answer some key questions leading up to the big matchup on Saturday.

Last season, the Nittany Lions sent Auburn home with a loss.

Just how confident are Auburn Tigers analysts going into this year’s matchup?

Here is what Jones had to say.

After losing to Penn State on the road last season, what would you say the biggest key factor was in that game that you lacked and how has it improved this season?

Tank Bigsby did well running the football, scoring both of Auburn’s touchdowns in the game. Bo Nix did a fine job passing as well, but could not find the end zone. This season has not progressed as much as we thought it would be by game three, as both T.J. Finley and Robby Ashford are still competing for the full-time quarterback role going forward. If one of those players steps up, and Auburn finds a way to become more diverse in scoring, they will for sure have a chance on Saturday.

With Bo Nix gone, TJ Finley is now at the realm. What traits does he have that make you feel confident he can help beat Penn State at home on Saturday?

Finley has the most experience in running Bryan Harsin’s offense, which is what ultimately earned him the starting job. He has also shown that he can adjust as well. Last week against San Jose State, he started the game going 1-for-5 for nine yards and an interception….
