Tennessee football coach Josh Heupel has dismissed two players after their arrests on domestic assault charges in less than a month.
Linebacker William Mohan was arrested Aug. 23 in South Knoxville and suspended indefinitely. Team spokesman Bill Martin said Friday that Mohan was dismissed from the team Sept. 5.
Offensive lineman Savion Herring was arrested on a charge of domestic assault this week and dismissed from the team. On Friday, Martin told Knox News that Herring had also been dismissed from the team.
Neither player played in a Tennessee game this season.
Mohan, a Michigan transfer, played in 12 games last season for the Vols, mostly on special teams. Herring, a junior college transfer, joined the Vols this summer and participated in preseason practice.
