Keys to victory for Pittsburgh

Despite the fact the Pittsburgh Steelers won last week and the New England Patriots lost, Pittsburgh goes into this game as home underdogs. There is no denying Pittsburgh has some problems on offense and the absence of linebacker T.J. Watt hurts. Here are the Steelers keys to victory this week if they want to finish the weekend 2-0.

Last week the Steelers best running back was wide receiver Chase Claypool but this isn’t sustainable. Pittsburgh ran 26 plays on firts down last week and only five of them went for more than three yards. Getting Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren going is the key to fixing that.

You could tell last week, new starting quarterback Mitch Trubisky was playing tense. He rushed way too many throws and conceded a lot of short throws instead of taking shots deep. Pittsburgh has too many weapons on offense to play so conservative.

Find ways to pressure Mac Jones

The Steelers have plenty of indiviual talent on defense but T.J. Watt is the glue that holds it all together. As important is Malik Reed is this week replacing Watt in the lineup, it’s all the other guy who need to make his life easier that will make the difference. Patriots quarterback Mac Jones suffered a back injury last week and while he has been declared healthy, you can bet he’s not looking forward to dealing with the Steelers pass rush.
