Seahawks defensive tackle Al Woods was selected in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints, a dream for the hometown LSU kid. But it’s Seattle that keeps calling Woods’ name, and in Woods’ third stint with the Seahawks, he’s making the most of it.
At 35-years-old, Woods is the oldest player on the Seahawks roster, but with age comes wisdom, and Woods has seen plenty in his 12 seasons in the NFL. In that span, Woods has played for seven franchises, including the Pittsburgh Steelers twice. After taking off 2020 to focus on his wife’s pregnancy during the COVID-19 pandemic, Woods signed with the Seahawks in 2021. Woods put together a career-high 50 tackles, along with 1.5 sacks and 4 tackles for loss. In March, the Seahawks resigned their anchor in the middle.
