6 keys to victory in Week 3

6 keys to victory in Week 3

The New York Giants host the Dallas Cowboys in their first divisional game of the season on Monday at MetLife Stadium.

So far, the Giants have scraped by with two wins to start the season strong, and it’s possible they will come out on top again to start 3-0, which is saying something for a team that hasn’t won more than six games in the last five years.

Currently, Graham Gano is the Giants’ leading scorer. He has 14 points on four field goals and two extra points. Saquon Barkley is next with a touchdown and 2-point conversion.

There are just three other touchdowns, making four over two games. That might cut it against Carolina and Tennessee, but it won’t work against stronger teams.

Get organic pressure on Cooper Rush

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Cooper Rush gets the start for Dallas while Dak Prescott nurses a thumb injury. And Rush is no stranger to New York, having spent some time there in 2020, but never on the main roster.

Michael Gallup is back in the Cowboys’ lineup this week, but the Giants are missing Aaron Robinson, so putting an extra man in the secondary may prove to be prudent.

The return of Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari should go a long way in…
