Williams scored for the second time four plays into the second quarter on a 3-yard run to end an eight-play, 67-yard drive to give the Buckeyes a 28-0 lead. Williams ran for 31 yards on the final three plays of the drive.

The Badgers got the ball on their 28 after a 26-yard kickoff return.

Wisconsin then drove 72 yards on 10 plays to make it 28-7 Buckeyes after a Graham Mertz 1-yard scoring run with 8:31 left in the half.

After a touchback, the Buckeyes used the ground game to move the ball inside the Badger 10 with the long gain coming on a 25-yard Williams jaunt early in the drive. Ohio State improved the lead to 31-7 after stalling at the Wisconsin 7 before a Noah Ruggles 25-yard field goal with 2:20 on the clock.

The Buckeyes rushed 10 times on the 14-play, 68-yard scoring drive.

Wisconsin had to punt on its next possession, giving the Buckeyes the ball on OSU 10 after an Ohio State personal foul penalty.

Stroud was then intercepted, his first of the season, at the OSU 48 with 38 seconds left. Wisconsin drove to the OSU 41 but could not convert on fourth down. Ohio State took over and took a knee to end the half.

After scoring on its first six drives, all touchdowns, last week against Toledo, Ohio State put points on the board on the first five first-half drives (four TDs, FG) against the Badgers to take a 31-7 lead into the locker room.

Ohio State posted 328 yards of offense over the first 30 minutes while holding Wisconsin to 96. The Buckeyes had 17 first downs over the first two quarters.

Stroud passed for 147 yards on 10-of 15 accuracy for two scores. Williams posted 101 yards rushing on 11 carries with two touchdowns. Stover led the receiving corps with four grabs for 51 yards and two touchdowns.
