6 bold predictions for Ravens’ Week 3 matchup vs. Patriots

The Baltimore Ravens suffered a crushing 42-38 defeat at the hands of the Miami Dolphins in Week 2 of the 2022 season. They’re looking to get back on track in Week 3, where they’ll travel to Foxbourough and play the New England Patriots.

There are many major storylines to keep an eye on throughout the contest, including if Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson can continue his hot streak, if New England quarterback Mac Jones can get the best of the Ravens’ defense and more.

Below we look at six bold predictions for Baltimore’s Week 3 matchup with the Patriots.

Bateman has had multiple electric plays during the first two weeks so far, including both a 55-yard touchdown and a 75-yard touchdown. He’s shown his route running ability as well as speed, and could have his third-consecutive big play in Week 3.

During their Week 2 loss to the Miami Dolphins, the Ravens rushed for 155 yards. However, 119 of those yards came from quarterback Lamar Jackson, while the other rushers on the team combined for 16 carries for 36 yards.

In Week 3 against the Patriots, Baltimore could win this matchup comfortably, which would allow the team to run the clock with the ground game. The Ravens end the afternoon with over 200 yards rushing.

QB Lamar Jackson continues passing dominance

Jackson has had a scorching start to the 2022 season with both his arm and with his legs. However, it’s his passing that’s stolen the show through two weeks, showing confidence and precision.

In Week 3 he throws another three touchdowns, but instead of tight end Mark Andrews, fellow tight end Isaiah Likely snags his first career touchdown. Wide receivers Rashod Bateman and Demarcus Robinson get the other two touchdown passes.

OLB Odafe Oweh notches three sacks

Oweh has been one of the more double teamed edge players in the league through two weeks, somewhat limiting his box score production. In Week 3 against New England, Oweh could be in for a big game, which could result in three sacks.
