Joseph was scheduled to earn $600,000 annually from the University as associate head coach and wide receivers coach. He will now earn a monthly stipend of $33,350 on top of his annual salary. The adjusted language in his contract also states that if Nebraska hires someone other than Joseph for the full-time head coaching role, he will resume his title as associate head coach and wide receivers coach. His contract also includes several bonuses that can be earned throughout the 2022 season, including a $150,000 bonus for making a non-college football playoff bowl game.
