Michigan remained undefeated on Saturday after it beat Maryland, 34-27. The Wolverines finally faced some adversity after the first three games were like a walk through the park.
But the maize and blue did what they needed to do — when they needed to do it — to walk out of the Big House 4-0.
The Michigan offense outgained Maryland, 463-397, on Saturday. The Wolverines rushed for 243 yards, and Blake Corum ran for his career-high of 243 yards. Corum also scored two crucial touchdowns at key moments in the game.
J.J. McCarthy passed for 220 yards, and he threw for two scores. McCarthy completed 69% of his throws, and while the deep ball wasn’t working, the sophomore had a great connection with tight end Luke Schoonmaker for some underneath crossing routes.
