Linebacker Tommy Eichenberg has won two weekly honors already: he is Big Ten co-De-fensive PoW this week after earning Nagurski National De-fensive PoW honors following the Notre Dame game.
Ohio State has won 26 consecutive Big Ten Confer-ence games at Ohio Stadium, starting with a 58-0 win over Rutgers in 2016. The team’s last Big Ten loss at home: 17-14 to Michigan State in 2015.
Ohio State’s defense is in the national Top 25 in four categories: total defense (18th, 283.0 ypg), passing defense (22nd, 171.8 ypg), scoring defense
(21st, 16.0 ppg) and tackles for loss (17th with 30.0).
Ohio State ranks second in the nation with only 12 plays for lossed yardage allowed (Geor-gia; 9). Outstanding work by the offensive line has limited opponents to just 10 TFLs and only 2 QB sacks.
