Arizona tight end Zach Ertz caught six passes on six targets for 47 yards and scored a touchdown in the Cardinals’ 26-16 victory at Carolina. On third-and-goal from the 2-yard line, Ertz released sharply across the field to catch a scoring pass from Kyler Murray to tie the game at 10-10 with 7:42 left in the third quarter. Ertz’s 43 career touchdowns ranks third among active NFL tight ends. He is third among tight ends this season in receptions with 22.

Running back Christian McCaffrey caught nine passes on nine targets for 81 yards and rushed for 26 in eight carries for the Panthers. McCaffrey is tied for the fourth-most targets among running backs in the NFL, with 23. Teammate Henry Anderson, at defensive end, played 21 percent of the defensive snaps and 17 percent of the special teams snaps in the loss.

Nate Herbig made his New York Jets debut, starting at right guard against the Steelers. In his season debut, Herbig played every offensive snap, and four special teams snaps, in the Jets’ 24-20 victory at Pittsburgh. Teammate Solomon Thomas, at defensive tackle, had one tackle, played 36 percent of defensive snaps and 15 percent of special teams snaps.

New Orleans starting cornerback Paulson Adebo had seven solo tackles and a pass breakup in the Saints’ 28-25 loss to Minnesota in London. It was Adebo’s first start this season, returning from an ankle injury. For the Vikings, starting defensive tackle Harrison Phillips had a tackle, quarterback hurry, and recovered a fumble.

- New England’s Jake Bailey punted seven times for a 44.9-yard average, with two downed inside the 20. Bailey had a long of 62 yards in the Patriots’ 27-24 overtime loss in Green Bay.
- Atlanta starting center Drew Dalman had a 78.5 run-blocking grade by Pro Football Focus in the Falcons’ 23-20 victory against visiting Cleveland.

Houston starting quarterback Davis Mills completed 26 of 35 passes for 246 yards and threw for two touchdowns in the Texans’ 34-24 loss against the visiting Los Angeles Chargers. Defensive tackle Thomas Booker had two tackles and a half-sack for the Texans, his first as an NFL rookie.
