WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – As one of the nation’s leaders in multiple receiving categories, Purdue Football wide receiver Charlie Jones was added to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List. The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announced additions to the watch list for the award given to college football’s best receiver, regardless of position.
 
Purdue fans can show their support and vote for Jones to win on the Biletnikoff Award FanVote page. Every fan may vote once daily. At the end of fan voting, the finalist with the most votes earns one official vote towards winning the award.
 
Since making the move to Purdue, Jones has emerged as one of the best receivers in the country. The Iowa transfer ranks second nationally in receptions per game (9.4) and receiving touchdowns (7), while ranking third in receiving yards (588). He leads the Big Ten in all three categories. With 47 receptions, Charlie Jones is the only Big Ten receiver since 2000 to haul in 45 or more passes in the first five games of the year.
 
The Boilermakers have a history with the Biletnikoff Award. Taylor Stubblefield won the honor in 2004, while David Bell was a finalist just one season ago. The duo became consensus All-Americans, and Jones is on pace to put up better numbers than both. Jones joined Stubblefield as the only receivers from the Big Ten to record seven touchdown catches in the first four games of a season.
