COLLEGE PARK, MD – The University of Maryland football team returns to the road on Saturday, Oct. 15 as the Terrapins (4-2, 1-2 B1G) travel to Indiana (3-3, 1-2 B1G). The Big Ten East game, set to kick at 3:30 p.m., will be broadcast on ESPN2 and the Maryland Sports Radio Network.

REWRITING THE RECORD BOOKS

  • QB Taulia Tagovailoa has established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the country, currently top-25 in the nation in completion percentage (74.1), completions per game (24.3), passing yards (1,731), total offense (303.2) and passing efficiency (161.3). Tagovailoa currently has the fifth-best single season completion percentage in FBS history.
  • Last week against Purdue, Tagovailoa completed 26-of-38 passes for 315 yards and three touchdowns, elevating to second all-time in Maryland history in completions (549), passing yards (6,602) and touchdowns (44). Tagovailoa only stands 102 completions, 700 yards and six touchdowns from setting the program passing records in those categories. With a 300-yard game against Purdue (315 yards), Tagovailoa now stands alone at the top of the all-time 300-yard game ranks in Terrapin history. He also is first all-time in career completion percentage (69.2) and passing efficiency (152.0).
  • Tagovailoa currently stands third in the nation with a 74.1 completion percentage, trailing only Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy (78.3) and UCLA’s Dorian Thompson-Robinson (74.8). His 69.3 career completion percentage is currently fourth among all active FBS…
