We’re halfway through the week, which means that we’re halfway there to Auburn football this Saturday.
But that isn’t the only Auburn sport being played this fall season. Both the women’s soccer team and Auburn’s women’s golf team deserve some credit for the way those squads have been playing, and on top of that, a former Auburn alum got the job done for his baseball team in the first round of the ALDS between the Yankees and the Guardians on Tuesday night.

Auburn names honorary captain for Ole Miss game

The Tigers’ honorary captain for Saturday’s game against Ole Miss comes from the running back committee.
Auburn has given the nod to Jarquez Hunter, who thus far has two touchdowns on the year as a part of the Tigers’ running back committee with Tank Bigsby. Hunter is averaging 4.1 yards per carry on 39 attempts so far in 2022.

Josh Donaldson delivers in first playoff game

Former Auburn third baseman Josh Donaldson got the job done in the first round of the ALDS.
The Yankees player went two-for-two on Tuesday, contributing to a 4-1 victory for New York that sees the team take the lead in the ALDS against the Cleveland Guardians. Donaldson didn’t bat in a run, but he was the only Yankees player on the night to bat perfect.
