The USFL is heading towards season 2, but that doesn’t mean they’re taking their foot off the gas. Just now the league announced a scouting data partnership with HUB Football.
HUB Football has become the go-to destination for free agent players. The majority of CAMP participants are players who recently spent time with NFL teams, while others include former collegiate players looking to land their first shot at making an NFL, CFL or other professional roster.
Brian Woods, USFL President of Football Operations, says “HUB Football will provide another scouting data resource to the innovative approach that we’re taking with player personnel at the USFL”.
The path to pro football has needed innovation for a long time, and together with the USFL, we’re excited to offer all aspiring pro players an alternative path to the USFL and beyond,” said Don Yee, Founder of HUB Football. “This partnership is just the first step toward creating a unique discovery opportunity for the best of the next generation of football talent.”
The USFL and HUB Football are no strangers. During the inagural USFL Draft, 52 former HUB Football CAMP participants were selected and signed to the league, with 18 more joining during the season.
This is a nice step for the USFL and its recruiting efforts going into season 2, which is opening up more opportunities for players to get on the field for the league.
