‘Smoke ’em if ya got ’em.’ Josh Heupel certainly will.
For the first time since 2006, the Tennessee Volunteers have defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide. In a game filled with zero defense, Tennessee got the last laugh as they kicked a game-winning field goal after Alabama missed their possible go-ahead field goal late in the fourth quarter. That was the marquee game of the week.
Other than that, Ole Miss took care of business against Auburn, Arkansas took down BYU, Georgia destroyed Vandy, LSU and Florida played in a barnburner, and the return of Will Levis elevated Kentucky to a win over Mississippi State.

Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels let the Auburn Tigers hang around for most of the game, but in the end, Ole Miss was too talented for Auburn to stop them in this one. Ole Miss now sits alone atop the SEC West at 7-0 (3-0). Auburn drops to 3-4 (1-3) with the loss.

It took the Razorbacks’ offense a full quarter to finally get going, but they scored 24 in the second quarter to separate themselves from the Cougars of BYU. KJ Jefferson returned to the team with 367 yards passing and five touchdowns. Arkansas moves to 4-3 on the season with the win.

Georgia could have been sleepwalking and still won this one by 35. The Dawgs defense was too stout for the Commodore offense and Stetson Bennett and Carson Beck were unstoppable as Georgia destroyed Vandy 55-0.

Tennessee fans will ‘spend their dollar (on beer)’ anytime Chase McGrath wants one. The fifteen-year drought is over. The Vols finally beat Alabama. Cigars were lit all over Neyland Stadium and as the smoke filled the air Volunteer fans stormed the field and were delirious.
