NC State head coach Dave Doeren has been named to the 2022 Dodd Trophy midseason watch list.
The 5-2 Wolfpack has been ranked for eight straight weeks this season, the most since the 2002 campaign, and ranked as high as 10th in the AP poll earlier in 2022.
Doeren is the second-winningest coach in school history with 69 wins at NC State and has led the Wolfpack to five of the top 20 win totals in school history. The Wolfpack has qualified for seven bowls in his previous nine years as head coach – more than any coach in school history.
Named for legendary Georgia Tech coach Bobby Dodd, The Dodd Trophy was established in 1976 to honor the FBS football coach whose program represents three pillars of success: Scholarship, Leadership and Integrity. The award honors the coach of a team with a successful season on the field and equally as important, stresses the importance of academic excellence and desire to give back to the community.
