The Georgia Bulldogs have a bye week during Week 8 of the college football season. Some Georgia fans may take a week off from college football ahead of the Georgia-Florida game.

However, there are a lot of great college football games in Week 8. Saturday, Oct. 22 features several games between ranked opponents.

What are the five best Week 8 college football games that Georgia fans should watch during the Dawgs’ week off?

5. Mississippi State at Alabama

The No. 7 Ole Miss at LSU game just missed the cut. There’s a lot of great college football games this weekend. Normally that game would be in the top five.

How will Nick Saban and Alabama respond following the Crimson Tide’s first loss of the 2022 college football season? No. 6 Alabama hosts No. 24 Mississippi State in an important SEC West match-up at 7:00 p.m. ET.

4. Texas at Oklahoma State

The No. 21 Texas Longhorns travel to face the No. 11 Oklahoma State Cowboys. Texas still has an outside chance at making the College Football Playoff, but the Longhorns have to win out. Oklahoma State is looking to regroup after blowing a lead and falling in overtime to TCU last week.

3. Kansas State at TCU

No. 8 TCU hosts No. 17 Kansas State in a ranked, all-purple clash. The undefeated Horned Frogs tend to play in high-scoring affairs. It’s fun to watch a Big 12 shootout.

Kansas State defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah is one of the best players in the country. The winner of this game will have sole possession of first place in the Big 12.
