On Thursday, Jaguars defensive coordinator Mike Caldwell was asked what he’s seen from the Giants offense on tape.
“26. 26,” said Caldwell.
Giants No. 26, Saquon Barkley, leads the NFL in touches and yards from scrimmage through the first six weeks of the season. Daniel Jones is averaging just 170.2 passing yards per game, 33rd in the NFL among quarterbacks who have played at least three games.
Jones has just five touchdown passes in six games, while Barkley is averaging 128.5 yards per game.
Jacksonville struggled to stop the run against the Eagles and Texans, then couldn’t stop the pass at all against the Colts last week. Forcing Jones to replicate Matt Ryan’s performance from last week is the poison the Jaguars should pick.
