Michigan football and Georgia had bye weeks in Week 8, and while there weren’t as many big ranked-on-ranked matchups as last week, there was still some big-time action on Saturday.
Tennessee had to get up for a game against UT-Martin. Clemson survived Syracuse. Alabama nearly shut out Mississippi State. Ohio State pulled away from Iowa. Oklahoma State upended Texas. TCU came back (again) to beat Kansas State. Oregon took down ranked UCLA, and Penn State rebounded by beating a solid Minnesota team.
