At No.2 comes Bryant, the league’s current forced fumbles leader (4). Bryant lands a spot ahead of former Cincinnati Bearcats teammate and current New York Jets rookie corner Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner. Schrager discussed what the Seahawks have in Bryant on the live broadcast.
“He was all over the field,” said Schrager. “Had himself a day. You look at these Seahawks rookies, obviously you have the running back (Kenneth Walker III), and the two offensive tackles (Charles Cross and Abraham Lucas) who are starting. Tariq Woolen is a stud, he’s one of the guys in the defensive backfield. Coby Bryant is the other.”
Bryant’s first interception of the year didn’t count due to a penalty, but he did record six combined tackles (5 solo) as Seattle held the Chargers to 23 points.
“The rookies in Seattle are a story guys,” said Schrager.
At No.1 comes Walker, who is now tied for No.7 league-wide in rushing touchdowns, after carrying the ball 23 times for 168 yards and two scores against the Chargers. Walker is now third in yards per carry (6.1) and knocking on the top-15 in rushing yards with 411.
