Week 7 for former Tennessee Volunteers in the NFL featured the continued rise of a defensive lineman in Seattle who has been a big part of the team’s success.

For the second week in a row, Darrell Taylor logged a strip-sack, this time knocking the ball free from Los Angeles Chargers’ quarterback Justin Herbert on the road.

The second-year lineman reached in and poked the ball free, then scooped it up and returned it 21 yards setting the offense up inside the redzone for a drive that would turn into points just four plays later.

On the year, Taylor has three sacks and on all three he has knocked the ball free. The fumble recovery at Los Angeles was his first of the season.

On Thursday night, VFL Alvin Kamara kept up his impressive run. The tailback recorded 100+ yards of total offense for the third-straight game and did so with impressive balance. He had more receiving yards than rushing yards for the first time since last season, tallying 56 through the air and 49 on the ground. Kamara also eclipsed 8,000 career yards of total offense in the game.
